What are KYC Verification Levels?

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification helps Fiatsend keep your account secure and comply with financial regulations. There are three verification levels, each offering progressively higher transaction limits.

Level 0 — Basic Verification

  • Requirements: Phone number verification and basic personal information (name, date of birth)

  • Limits: Limited transaction amounts for sending, receiving, and converting

  • Best for: New users who want to explore Fiatsend with small transactions

Level 1 — ID Verification

  • Requirements: Government-issued photo ID (Ghana Card, passport, or driver's license)

  • Limits: Increased daily and monthly transaction limits

  • Best for: Regular users who need higher transaction amounts

Level 2 — Full KYC / Enhanced Verification

  • Requirements: Enhanced verification including proof of address (utility bill, bank statement), selfie verification, and additional identity checks

  • Limits: Highest available transaction limits

  • Best for: Power users and businesses with high-volume transaction needs

How Do I Upgrade My Verification Level?

  1. Open the Fiatsend app and go to your Profile or Settings.

  2. Tap on "Verification" or "KYC Level."

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to submit the required documents for the next level.

  4. Your documents will be reviewed. You will be notified once your verification is complete.

How Long Does Verification Take?

Level 0 verification is instant. Level 1 and Level 2 verifications are typically completed within 24 to 48 hours, depending on the volume of applications.
